The less time a business is closed for renovations – the better. For this very busy downtown cafe, seven days was the maximum time they could be closed. This makes for an almost impossible deadline. Almost. The bar and other materials were designed and fabricated before construction began. The crew worked around the clock for seven days.

To maximize the long, narrow space, bench seating was used. They were built on site and the upholstery components were fabricated off site and installed the morning the cafe reopened. When completed, the cafe appeared more spacious, yet seating capacity was increased by 40%.

Just Us! Coffee Roasters is 100% Free Trade and they deal directly with many farmers in many countries. For this reason the cafes were given an ethnic theme.
