Clayton House

This house had been loved and lived in for many years but I got called in for a complete overhaul. We started with replacing every floor in the house with engineered hardwood, the client choose a soft brown grey which changed the game immediately. I was given carte blanche (who doesn?t love that!) with just about everything else. The ?fireplace wall? was originally a blank wall and seemed like the perfect place for the propane insert. I thought the roof line was a definite plus so the mantel was designed from the floor up. The clients told me they needed a place to store ?piles of stuff? which a. I love when people are honest B. not everyone as acquired the art of minimalism. so it is important to know this when starting a design project that will work for the family. The built-ins worked beautifully because they could be used as storage with the drawers and display. The small eating area had a rod iron railing dividing the great room from the kitchen area which we replaced with 10? of matching custom storage. The three washrooms were refreshed with new tile, lighting and vanities. The main floor guest w/c was given a complete redo, the small painted sink became the centre piece of the design ended up being one of the favourite parts the reno for everyone. The kitchen was given new tile and appliances and new furniture drapery was purchased for the living room.
