A Halifax law office proves big design ideas can come in small packages
Storage was a major challenge for the client and a one thousand square foot space didn't allow for traditional walk-in closets. The storage issue was solved using built-in file drawers and cabinetry in both offices. The result was an abundance of organized storage without compromising the look or size of the rooms. The boardroom table was designed to resemble a dory, transforming it into a whimsical piece of art. Made by a local craftsman out of birch, glass and steel, the table was designed to anchor an otherwise modern minimalist space. A view looking back from the window shows the glass desk and Barcelona chair in the corner. The discs above the chair are various sized mirrors. The position of the desk allows full view of the office, reception and window. The reception area was kept clean and monochromatic. The reception desk blends in with the surrounding cabinetry, glass and steel.
