Seaside Café is not your ordinary seaside coffee shop—it is an enchanting coastal destination that fuses an intimate café with a curated collection of antiques and vintage clothing. Imbued with a dreamy, other-timely atmosphere, the space invites visitors into a world of historic charm and nostalgic discovery. The challenge was to craft an authentic, vintage-inspired brand identity that captured this romantic heritage without feeling contrived, celebrating both its seaside location and its eclectic antique character across all physical and digital touchpoints.
The Design Concept & Botanical Heritage
The brand identity draws deep inspiration from 19th-century botanical engravings, Victorian parlor aesthetics, and the natural flora of the Atlantic shoreline.
The Rosa Rugosa Illustration: The centerpiece of the identity is an exquisite antique botanical illustration of a beach rose (Rosa rugosa)—the wild, fragrant coastal rose native to Atlantic shorelines—symbolizing natural coastal beauty and timeless endurance.
Victorian Typography & Ornate Flourishes: Rendered in ornate, decorative Victorian lettering framed with elegant scrollwork, delicate filigree flourishes, and historic typographic detailing reminiscent of antique merchant trade cards.
Antique Color Palette: A nostalgic, muted palette of weathered parchment, vintage dusty rose, herbal sage, and deep sepia, evoking the natural patina of treasured heirlooms.
